Just hours after Apple released the new operating system of iPhone 4 (the iOS 4.1), hackers were able to jailbreak it. Users with phone service other than At&T will be able to use the iPhone 4. Others jailbreak in order to use Apps not provided at the iTunes Store.
Additionally the iPhone 3Gs, iPad, and iPod Touch 4G devices unlock codes have been found by hacker to jailbreak these devices as well.
Reportedly, Apple may never be able to fix the problem and hackers will always be able to jailbreak the iPhone 4.
Jailbreaking the iPhone is legal as long as it is not done for commercial benefit according to information published by the U.S. Copyright Office and the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
Is is ethical? Apparently over a million iPhone owners have likely jailbroken the device and without concern. “It is my phone after all…” a user was quoted in front of the Dulles Town Center Mall.
