The new jailbreak by Comex is finally here! There have been rumors circulating twitter about the release of the jailbreak to be on or before Sunday August 1st. Simply go to www.jailbreakme.com and ‘slide to jailbreak’. This is by far the easiest jailbreak so far. We have used Spirit before but that required plugging it in to your computer. Now, users can enjoy the jailbreak without a computer.

Many people are having problems with the jailbreak though. A bunch are reporting being stuck on the purple screen. Nothing happens. Earlier today the servers had problems due to heavy traffic flow of the site and later released a mirror site at http://jailbreakme.modmyi.com. If going to this mirror site is still giving you a stuck screen, reset it and try again. If all fails then the server is down. Let me know how your jailbreak upgrade went and we will troubleshoot.
